Baby, Wolfsbane & Other News

February is underway and I’ve been doing my best to juggle baby + writing.
Some real life updates include; my son likes to spit up all the time and look adorable while he does it. So while a part of me laments over the second outfit I’ve put on him, already ruined, the other melts with exclamations of “precious thing!” Being a parent continues to be an entertaining adventure.
Also, I don’t know what the weather has been like where you are, but here in true Texas fashion, it can’t seem to make up its mind. One day we have 70 degree weather, the next it’s down in the 40’s. Nights are the worst of course, when you live in a hundred year old farmhouse like us. Heaters don’t quite cut the cold, only take the edge off. I try reminding myself that for hundreds of thousands of years, plenty of people were living in similar and worse situations without electricity and raising infants just fine. Also true is the fact more babies and people died back in the day. But simple fact is most Texans can’t handle the cold. So we do our best to keep warm with heaters, layers and fireplace fires and toughen up. What’s the weather been like in your neighborhood?

As for writing; Wolfsbane’s Daughter is set for release on the twenty-fifth! I am so excited to share Resha’s story with y’all. Her character is very different from Vynasha and was a lot of fun to write. She’s a lot more wild and savage and has a different set of “scars” to deal with. You can pre-order Wolfsbane’s Daughter on Amazon and Smashwords. Prism Book Tours will host a Book Blitz later this month that you’ll wanna look out for. We will be giving away another Amazon gift card + other fun prizes. So stay tuned!
DSC07240-BI’m currently drafting a contemporary adult romance novel, 2015’s NaNoWriMo project, called Moonlight. I typically work through scenes while the little one’s napping and don’t always make it then, but the important thing is to keep writing. Stay tuned for teasers and more about this love story.

Sometime in the next month I will reveal the new print and Ebook cover for my paranormal romance, Stay. I’m pretty stoked about it and can’t wait to share.
That’s all the news I have for now. I hope you’re staying cozy with your loved ones! Curl up with a good book, accomplish that thing you’ve been dreaming about and finish something you’ve been putting off. For me, I plan on finishing the Mortal Instruments series, sketch a new piece in pastels and finish those baby gift thank you cards. 😉

  1. I think it’s amazing that you continue to write with a new baby keeping you busy. Good luck and keep up the great work! And enjoy the spitting up and cuteness – they grow up so quickly although it might not seem like now.
