Craving Beauty, Volume 1

CB alt text

Vynasha has spent the last four years tending her mother’s roses and looking after her nephew. The fire that killed their family has left her scarred and put Wyll on the brink of death. Soon the first frost will come down from the mountains and she knows this winter will be his last.

Until a strange beggar appears on the road, telling her of the majikal Source that can heal her Wyll. With nothing left to lose, Vynasha braves the forbidden Wylder Mountains to seek out a cure and her fate.

A lost kingdom is uncovered by an equally lost girl, but the castle is not abandoned as she believes. Shadows cloaking unseen eyes watch. Tapestries whisper from the hidden corners, wondering if the one to break their curse has come. And a hungry beast waits, ready to devour her soul.

Reviews for Craving Beauty

“Whatever you think you know, forget it, you are probably wrong … there is so much going on within the pages of this book you won’t know what to expect but that is what makes this book so utterly amazing. It was so different. It took a classic fairy tale one that I absolutely adore and made it something more. It made it something new.”

— Painted Words Reviews

“Author Jennifer Silverwood will blow you away with her latest release, Craving Beauty. In this rendition of Beauty and the Beast, Jennifer has created a twist on the story that readers will fall in love with from page one. Although a little darker than I originally thought it would be, this novel is filled with a delightful story and excellently developed characters.”

Reviews for Wolfsbane’s Daughter

“Wolfsbane’s Daughter was a highly imaginative plot with Silverwood scripting a beautifully woven tale that intrigues and draws you in… This is a companion novella to Craving Beauty but in my opinion a much stronger and complete story. It is much different than Craving Beauty and even as a companion it does not expand on what was missing in Craving Beauty novel. This, Wolfsbane’s Daughter, on the other hand is a world that I would like to explore and know more. I found Resha, the world and characters all something that captured my attention and gave me enough closure to feel I had a good understanding of the Wylder world.”

— Tome Tender

“This is my first fantasy book that I’ve read as an adult. I adored them as a child. And I see that I still enjoy them very much. I did this one. Looking forward to be reading the rest from A Wylder Tale series.”

Reviews for Scarred Beauty

“The unique thing about this version of Beauty and the Beast is its Gothic twist. Vynasha is a beauty that has become a beast in her transformation through blood magik with Grendell. It gets even more interesting with the addition of Baalor pack leader of the Wolvs that Wolfsbane and his daughter have vowed to hunt down. Ceddrych the wanderer is now the traitor as his relationship to Resha is found out by the pack . And the chemistry between Vynasha and Baalor makes the book very exciting.”

“Amazing retelling of a classic story. A must read for lovers of retellings. This is a completely unexpected but very welcome twist compared to the other retellings out there. I could not put this book down. Or the others before this one. You won’t be disappointed. Buying the next one now!”

— Amber (Goodreads 5 Star Review)

“There was a lot of drama in this book, some parts that broke my heart. And also a very beautiful romance, full of tension that gave it quite spicy. I loved the revelations in this story, the way everything turns around and nobody is who it seemed to be. That generated some impressive plot twists, and made the reading completely entertaining and addictive.

I must have read this book in just a couple of days because it left me so hooked. I loved the author’s ambiance and creativity both on stage and in the creatures that appear. I also loved all the stories and legends that have to do with the curse. We see a much darker side of Vynasha in this book and I loved that. Everything is coming to light to finally begin to understand the truth of what is happening. This story is full of action and adrenaline, a lot of magic and mystery. I have to say that I liked this book much more than the previous one. I loved.”

Reviews for Bound Beauty

Vynasha is not you typical beauty and the beast heroine , she is a beast in her own rights. As a child of two worlds she is the only one who can break the spell.

Her story was intriguing with plenty of tension, mystery, fighting, and passion play without getting vulgar, but enough to feel like a cherished memory of that first passionate kiss. The magical creatures and their stories are interesting too. With each novel she brings out more of the character so you feel you understand them, might not always agree with their choices, but at the end it works out well.

The ending was different from what I anticipated, especially for Wyll, it broke away from other stories that usually follow a certain route which made it a unique read. Look forward to reading more by this author.
