So I’ve decided to give November a bit of a kick and punch. In other words, overtax myself with writing! I got inspired while reading an interview with Tammara Webber on “How She Did It” (think that’s the article…). This girl is one of my Indie heroes, for real, right next to Colleen Hoover and Melissa Wright. They are chicas who are getting there by powerhouse determination. Anyways, she was telling in her writing testimony that she and her husband did this month challenge thing, where you write a 50,000 word novel. Sounds daunting to some, I’m sure…(are you kidding, of course that is frigging crazy to most peeps)
But I got this idea in my head of how fun it would be to write something that’s not too long (150 pgs maybe) and to join in with other writers across America while doing it. At this point I’m always up for a challenge and a way to get better.
So I’m revisiting a book I had begun years ago and am pretty much starting from scratch this go round. For more DATS on the story, you’ll just have to wait and see 😉
For now, I thought y’all might be interested in checking the website out. I’m already behind as it started Nov 1st, but no time like the present to catch up and write like crazy! http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/dashboard
So check this website out, any of you fellow daredevils and let me know what you think.
Meantime, I’m planning on getting Silver Hollow done and wrapping up Stay, my paranormal romance.
Oh! And I made some major headway on Ohre, the sequel to Qeya, this past weekend. If everything keeps rolling along at this pace, and I don’t spontaneously combust or anything, you can look forward to seeing my name a bit more often (hopefully!).
Meanwhile, dream big, and don’t be afraid to stick your neck out there. Life’s too short to timidly tip-toe all the time
Jenn 🙂
