New Holidays, new year approaching, new chances to make our mark.
I don’t know what it is about us humans that makes us want to start over with the new year. But it’s certainly on everyone’s mind. What’s your resolution going to be? Write a little more, fight the demon of procrastination?
I know for a fact that I have several resolutions to herald in the coming year. But I’m not going to wait until Wednesday to begin them. In fact, I’d like to challenge all of you, fellow readers, authors and bloggers, to begin your resolutions today.
Don’t wait or a mark in the calendar to supposedly change your lives.
Start now.
Begin again.
Change your bad habits into good ones.
And make one of those habits to change your thinking. Instead of waiting a year to start again, let’s wake up each day with more ambition, more happiness and joy for living. That’s how we get out of a rut. By remembering what this life is all about. Instead of wasting our potential away, let’s live.
But I can’t make that decision for you anymore than you could for me. I hope you do, though. I hope you make the best of this new year and your lives. And always remember that you matter. You are worth more than you might think you are. You have a chance, each day, to make your mark on this world. Don’t waste it.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
