A Note From Jenn
So, I know most of you are busy with work, family and general living, I hope you don’t mind if I squeal a bit over my new release to you! For an author, release day is like a holiday and college exams rolled into one, giddy/nerve-wrecking mess. No matter how organized, or how realistic I am in my expectations, I can’t help but feel that buzz. That feeling of relief, for finally bringing together a project I spent a year of my life on. But then there’s also the slight anxiety that comes with it, as you turn that phrase on its head: a year of my life. LOL
For those of you not in-the-know, this is a new, fully expanded and revised edition of Silver Hollow. That’s why I’ve been calling it “Silver Hollow 2018.” Because, in order to finally write the sequels, I needed to update the story and bring it to speed with my current writing. Authors voices most definitely change over time. Much like musicians and artists improve their craft with each new piece and practice, so we grow in our craft with each book or story. Silver Hollow was my first book baby, and I am crazy-proud of the version I’m presenting to you today. It wasn’t just my countless hours of work, either. It takes a village to raise a book baby 😉
So real quick, a thousand thanks to Melissa Wright, K.D. Jones and Belle Malory for helping critique, edit and beta the crap out of this edition. Thanks to R.J. Locksley, for your mad editing skills. To Champagne Formats, thank you for making the interior as beautiful on the inside. And last but not least, thank you Najla & Nada Qamber, because y’all’s support and cover design is perfection. Most of the visitor/reader comments I get, have to do with y’all’s cover.
Now back to you, reader, friend and fellow fantasy avenger ;), while I know better than anyone how tight finances can be, it would mean the world to me if y’all would pick up a copy of Silver Hollow today. It won’t cost you much, just the price of a Starbucks coffee, but in exchange for hours of unapologetic escapism. Or, if you aren’t able, I’d love if you could help me spread the word by sharing this post, tweeting some links and helping me spread the #SilverHollow2018 love. Thank you! Happy Reading! ❤
“I shouldn’t have to tell you this isn’t a fairy story…”
After her parents’ car crash ten years before, Amie Wentworth trusts books more than people. She may be a writer, but she believes in reality over fiction. She ignores the unexplained mysteries surrounding her, never mind the dreams of a past life, or the fact she can fry technology with a touch. Not even a timely invitation from her long-lost uncle in England gives Amie incentive for anything other than ire.
Until she is stabbed in an alley and brought back to life by a handsome stranger. Soon Amie is dragged into the very sort of tale she is used to selling. To make matters worse, the man who saved her life keeps turning up and her would-be-murderer is still at large.
After crossing the Atlantic to her father’s homeland, she discovers a world beyond imagining. Silver Hollow is a place of ancient traditions and supernatural dangers, where everything is the opposite of what it seems and few escape sane. Faced with an impossible choice, Amie is forced to confront a deadly family legacy while remembering a life she soon wishes to forget.

What are people saying about Silver Hollow?
“Amie’s family legacy thrusts her into an age-old conflict, unable to stop the return of a hidden past, no matter how much she might want. She’s just a girl from Texas, the fate of a supernatural realm suddenly resting solely on her. She might be able to pull it off, if she could just figure out who to trust.
Silver Hollow is a roller coaster fantasy of epic proportions. There are faeries and magic and dragons and battles. There’s kissing too. It was at turns funny and heart-wrenching, with a pinch of pop culture, a whole lot of discovery, and a healthy dash of kickass heroine.”
—Melissa Wright, Author of The Frey Saga
“Jennifer Silverwood’s SILVER HOLLOW IS more than a fairy tale. It is epic in its scope and its promise for more to come! As one young woman discovers why she never quite fit in, she will discover more about her past, her present and her future than she could have ever imagined! Amie will also find the missing pieces of her heart, her life and her destiny.
Brilliant world building on Ms. Silverwood’s part creates an atmosphere of danger and romance as each scene unfolds and we are drawn deeper into Amie’s new reality as it morphs into a true saga with each twist and turn. Incredible characters, a magical atmosphere, and a heroine who comes into her own in spite of the chaos around her.
Love the action, love the world, love the romance, love the chaos and all those delicious secrets…love ’em!”
“I really enjoyed the worldbuilding in this novel, and the descriptions were very great at making you feel like you were actually there in the novel. I did feel like there were a lot of twists and turns, and I also really enjoyed that. There was humor and sadness, and intrigue and romance. All in all, this book had everything I wanted, and everything that would make it a good book, but I think just because it was hard for to stay sucked into the story made it a book I didn’t love, although I did enjoy it.
I would highly recommend this novel if you are a fan of fantasy worlds. I might try to reread it in the future to see how much my opinion has changed with being able to follow along more. I look forward to reading more by Jennifer Silverwood.”

“This is a very good story. I really enjoyed reading it. The different types of magic and such were weaved into the story very well. Great work Jennifer.
The characters are well-developed and there is such diversity in the different characters, it makes for very interesting interaction between them.
The setting is easy to picture and enjoyable to get familiar with. The story flows well from chapter to chapter.
I would highly recommend this book to other readers. I can’t wait for the next book with the continuation of this story.”

“Silver Hollow is the first in a series that introduces the reader to Amie and a world of magic. This story is well-written and completely UN-put-down able. In fact, I managed to get through this story in a day!
This well-crafted story introduces us to so many characters with whom we cannot help but fall in love. There is so much to learn and love, so much to know, that as a reader you will be left yearning for more.
The bond Amie develops with her uncle and with the man who saved her life, as well as with the various people she meets is both heart-warming and heart-wrenching. How much can you trust a person? How well can you know someone? As secrets are revealed and memories of a past life come to the surface, Amie is faced with decisions that could shape her life and who she is. She discovers the truth about her parents, her friends and this alters her perception of who she is. I especially enjoyed the many references made to some characters of legends like King Arthur, Merlin, Titania and many others. This is a world filled with magic and non-magic, a place where for a long time secrets have been buried. Amie is destined to either fill the void and save everyone or destroy it once and for all.
The story is sprinkled with romance and witty comments, many light-hearted moments that are sure to bring a smile to the readers lips. It is definitely worth the read and is a book that I would recommend in the fantasy-romance section now.”
