Author Gushing Moment
Okay, I’m more than a little excited about these! I’ve been watching (and reading) the works of Fantasy Romance author, Angela Ford, for several years. When I learned she’d started an exclusive signed book shop to help her fellow authors sell direct, I was intrigued. I was also broke and unable to apply, though several of my author friends had joined and recommended this to me. This past season, several fantastical things happened all at once which finally allowed me to reach out to Angela and her team at TSBS. I might have squealed when the email accepting Craving Beauty came in.
My biggest marketing plan for 2023, with the release of my YA Fairy Tale first-in-series has been fairly basic: I don’t look at numbers, I just go for it (within reason). This may be a little insane, but I’ve never claimed to be fully sound of mind, either. What I have done is sit on the sidelines for too long, watching others make things happen but without the ability to follow through. Now that I’m able to follow through, I’m doing “all the things” as my friend Mel and I often say. So this is me, feeling grateful and hopeful for the first time in years. Thanks so much to Angela and all the folks at TSBS! And to Naj, Nada, Jorie, and Mel, for encouraging me always to never give up.
